Investigating the Association Between Stress Coping Strategies and Social Support in COVID-19 Survivors

Background: The global spread of COVID-19, due to its pathogenesis and high mortality rate, has caused levels stress among various societies. Hence, it is necessary investigate social support interventions concerning their effectiveness accessibility. Objectives: study aimed determine the association between coping strategies in survivors COVID-19. Methods: Following a descriptive-correlational design, using census method, 158 discharged cases with definitive diagnosis COVID-19 2020 were recruited. Data collection tools included demographic characteristics questionnaire, CISS-48 stress-coping methods, Wax's questionnaire. analyzed descriptive inferential statistics Pearson correlation coefficient multivariate regression SPSS version 22. Results: most least frequent used by patients problem-oriented (48.49 ± 9.99) avoidance-oriented (24.48 4.11), respectively. Family (39.02 4.20) was major source support. There significant score total stress, problem-oriented, stress. According analysis, there educational level. Conclusions: By increasing awareness about problem-based strategies, can be reduced.
